EDAG Best Fit - VisionCheckup Tool
The EDAG VisionCheckup tool combines the various tasks of the image processing system using a convenient user interface:
- Teach-in of the test or measuring task
- Process communication
- Image acquisition
- Image analysis
- Visualisation
- Statistics
- Controls
Communication between the image processing system and the robot is via an Interbus-S or Profibus-DP buy system. The EDAG robocom 3964 module is available for the robots:
- KUKA KRC1 and KRC2
- FANUC RJ3
Clearly laid out menus inform the system user of actions and conditions. The component and sensors, and also their results, are shown in the interactive display. (Measurement window changes colour.)
The measured values calculated have varying degrees of influence
on the Best Fit position. Differentiation of the measured values,
and thus the sensors, is by means of a "weighting" of the measuring
positions (sensors). To this end, each sensor has available the
levels 0 (only measured values with no action) to 9 (top
priority).
EDAG Best Fit Interactive WEB front end
The WEB-based front end is on a separate server capable
of visualising and archiving the data from numerous EDAG Best Fit
production lines.

By operating as a RAID system (Redundant Array of Independent
Disks), Level 5, the following are possible:
